Our Patron Saint – St. Clare Catholic School

St. Clare of Assisi was a wonderful woman who lived a long time ago in Italy. She was born in 1194 and grew up in a wealthy family.

  1. Young Life: When she was young, she heard about St. Francis of Assisi, a man who gave up his riches to follow Jesus and live a simple life.
  2. The Poor Clares: Inspired by St. Francis, Clare decided she wanted to live like him. She left her home and joined St. Francis, dedicating her life to God. Together, they started a new group called the Poor Clares, where the women lived simply, prayed a lot, and helped the poor.
  3. Staying Happy and Faithful: St. Clare was known for her kindness, her strong faith, and her love for Jesus. She spent her life praying and helping others, and many people came to her for advice and comfort. Even when she became very sick, she stayed cheerful and full of faith.
  4. Feast Day: St. Clare of Assisi feast day is celebrated on August 11. St. Clare’s life teaches us about the joy of living simply and loving God and others.

She is remembered as a brave and loving woman who trusted God with all her heart.
